Bummer, but the good news is that the surgery will only
sideline him for two weeks. Mighty announced that he suffered a hernia during
his fight with Ian McCall and he will be undergoing surgery to repair it, along
with a few other nagging injuries. Altogether it does not seem like Mighty’s
recovery time will be anything to worry about, nor will it have any effect on
the time frame for his Flyweight Championship fight with Joseph Benavidez. No
word yet on when the fight will take place but Dana White has stated that he
would like to see it, “Sooner rather than later,” given the state of injuries
plaguing the UFC.
