Apparently Brandon Vera thinks beating Shogun will guarantee
him a tour of Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory, because The Truth just referred
to him as a Golden Ticket. How awesome would that be if Vera entered by handing
out chocolate bars surrounded with an army of Oompa-Loompas singing, “Ver-A,
Ver-A, Ver-A-dee doo, he’s got a little bit of chocolate for you.” He would
instantly become the most popular fighter ever. Vera acknowledged critics and
naysayers when he said he hasn’t been himself since the Couture fight; that he
stopped caring, but has “that fire” back. He went on to say he would love to
stand and trade with Shogun. It seems like he is trying to gain as much
exposure as he can because his job is most likely on the line. Personally I
hope he wins, only because I’m upset Shogun wouldn’t fight Teixeira. Vera/Shogun
headlines August 4th on Fox.
