Between UFC on FX and Bellator tomorrow night, and UFC147
this Saturday it is very possible that this little piece of knowledge slipped
your mind: Fedor fights tonight. In what was originally billed by M1 as his
last fight, The Last Emperor squares off against Pedro Rizzo. This fight would
probably mean something a couple years ago, but now it is just a stain on his
legacy. Don’t get me wrong, I like Fedor, but in this day and age, especially
in the heavyweight division, if you’re not fighting under Zuffa, you are not
fighting the best. Fedor went 1-3 under Strikeforce before his release, and at
35 years old the chances of seeing him in the octagon are slim. Still, we wish
Fedor the best but really hope he considers hanging up his gloves after tonight,
after all even wins aren’t really wins anymore.
